Wow!  Some really heated competition among this year's awards, saw some of the closest finishes to date, with several catagories decided by a single vote!  In addition, the evolution of the industry away from single attractions and more toward multiple, differently themed venues located on the same sight has mandated recogintion of both varieties of haunts.  The trend makes judging increasingly difficult, and at times is like comparing "apples and oranges" so to speak.  Therefore, to avoid being unfair to one or the other, the 2007 season has ushered in the debut of a brand new Award to solve the delimma - the establishment of the Ohio Valley Haunts MULTI-VENUE HAUNT OF THE YEAR, from which any individual component haunt is eligible for recognition in the single attraction catagory.
